The tank meta was at it’s peak post-role queue but pre-Sigma release with only minor tweaks needed to have varying tanks be viable depending on the map being played which is about the optimal situation. If one of these points were a problem it could be solved easily by making them slightly stronger, nerfing them, nerfing their counters, or buffing their counters. Primarily I am talking about the state of burst healing, burst damage, and shields. People can point to what ever patch they want but in truth there is no single patch that caused this state of the game, but a bunch of changes that together put us here. I feel blizzard has really balanced themselves into a corner and simple number changes just aren’t going to be enough to cause real change to the game anymore.įor a while it seems like the devs have been trying to make the game feel faster and more exciting to play/watch, but in doing this they have inadvertently made it slower and boring.
